'Why I Murdered 13 American Soldiers at Fort Hood', by Nidal Hassan

"Hassan is the first terrorist in history to give an academic lecture explaining why he was about to attack. . . In a sense, Hassan's lecture was a cry for help: Can anyone show me another way out? Can anyone refute my interpretation of Islam?"

Barry Rubin explains.

If the whole premise of the attack is that the Koran forbids Muslims killing other Muslims, Major Hassan must have been deeply distressed - beyond his sanity level when Iraq and Iran killed millions of each other in theri nice little war, using some of the most brutal methods including various poison gasses, or over the fact that more Palestinians are killed by other Palestinians than by any other method.

Forbidden by the Koran maybe, but Muslim on Muslim violence and outright murder is as commons as rain in Vancouver in November.
